I was pleased that the international journal Contraception was willing to consider an editorial on the importance of human population. I was honored that they linked me up with a second author, Joseph Speidel. Dr. Speidel is now at a family planning think-tank, the Bixby Center for Reproductive Health Research and Policy at the University of California, San Francisco. Formerly he was head of the USAID population program.
